All You Can Eat was an incredible event; it was a sum of it’s parts, the amazing personalities that turned up, dressed up and occasionally threw up on the dancefloor. It was a hedonistic blast with an idealistic manifesto; to awkwardly clash cultural “tribes”, engender polysexual freedom and to mash-up multimedia, art and new technology entertainingly in a club environment.

Neu/New/Nu Rave – that label – we hated that, not because we didn’t aspire to the underground party ethic of the original rave movement but because it lumped together and debased a lot of unique people and scenes for the sake of a lame soundbite. AYCE was not a fad fashion focused thing although we loved to have something wild to look at. AYCE was a reaction against boredom, dead eyed yuppie consumerism and stagnant identity politics. We wanted to create some sexy friction that could ignite some creative fire…And we were not disappointed.

Highlights? A naked girl as a buffet table, bluetooth art, specially constructed sets to play in and relentlessly odd mix of performance; It was just a party, but WOAH.
