The Theo Adams Company has been invited to take part in a prestigious residency program at the Watermill Center in New York. This laboratory for performance was founded by legendary theatre director Robert Wilson as a unique environment for young and emerging artists from around the world to explore new ideas. I’m going as part of the company as a writer, it is amazing to be able to be involved in the devising of a new piece of theatre, I am really excited to turn my hand to music for a musical.

This will be a challenging process as the company will be writing and devising a completely original new work in 2 weeks of intensive workshopping from 20th March 2012 to 5th April. The completed piece will then be used as the basis for the next full scale Theo Adams Company production “Entertainment” which will have it’s world premiere in London’s West End later this year.

Following on from the success of their last global production “Cry Out”, expectations for the company’s next production are extremely high. Entertainment is an ambitious new show that explores the enthralling and powerful history of stage and spectacle via a range of experimental staging, technology, traditional musical forms, psychology and the incredible intensity already associated with Theo Adams Company.

Stay tuned for exclusive continual updates direct from the Watermill via Theo Adams Companies social media platforms on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and many more to be announced.
